Nick Eno Ministries
Years of study at some the finest Christian universities as well as a robust practice as a professional counselor left me with more questions than answers. Clinical methods, albeit couched in Christian jargon, were effective in alleviating symptoms. However, they generally did not produce the deep transformation and abundant life Christ purchased for us on Calvary… at least not in my life or in the lives of my counselees.
In the summer of 1997, I moved to Texas after accepting a position as Director of Counseling at a mega-church in Dallas. Ministering in a church setting offered ample opportunity to see God’s power touch, heal and deliver people on a regular basis.
However, the unfortunate emphasis of instant deliverance (microwave deliverance) over discipleship (practice of spiritual disciplines) has resulted in denial, hypocrisy and an epidemic of emotional bondage as well as an anemic witness in the body of Christ. Nick Eno Ministries (formerly Crossroad Encounters)was established to bridge the gap between instant deliverance and lifelong discipleship. We offer food for the soul that is Spirit-breathed and Biblically based, yet clinically sound.
Our Soul Food menu includes:
- Spiritual Care/Direction: we help people navigate the darkness through the inevitable nighttimes of their lives.
- Pastoral/Soul Care: we assist churches, ministries, hospices, etc. in training/establishing care teams to help hurting people. We also conduct training and continuing education seminars for counselors and ministers several times a year. (We offer seminars on Forgiveness, Grief and Loss, Overcoming Rejection, Anger, Shame, etc.)
- THERAPON: We conduct Lay Counselor Certification Schools under the auspices of The Therapon Institute Inc. (www.therapon.org)
